2013 Special Municipal Vacancy Election Information
A Special Election will be held on June 4, 2013 to fill the City of Oxnard council seat made vacant when councilmember Tim Flynn was elected Mayor. The new councilmember will serve the rest of the term of the vacated seat which expires November 2014.
Important Dates:

| Nomination period: Dates to pull/submit papers to run for office: | February 11 to March 8, 2013 at 5 p.m. |
| Last day to register to vote: | May 20, 2013 |
| Last day to request an absentee ballot: | May 28, 2013 |

A ballot box is available in the City Clerk's office at 305 West 3rd St. where you can drop off your sealed ballots for the upcoming June 4th Special Election. This box is located on the front counter and will be readily accessible during normal business hours.
The ballot box will be emptied by Ventura County Elections officials, on a regular basis until June 4th at 6 P.M.
